Worst/Biggest Dissapointment Albums Of 2007 and an explanation for those who might have different tastes than mine:

1. Against Me! - New Wave

Sorry kids, it's not as good as the early stuff in any manner. Oh wait the production is cleaner...props to Butch Vig.

2. Pick a hardcore album

Once again, I apologize to those who like the genre, but it has become a parody of what it was even 5 years ago and has no original ideas anymore. Want proof? Make a mix disc of one song by each of your favorite hardcore bands...then ask a friend who isn't all that into hardcore to tell you how many different bands are on that mix.

3. Whatever Dane Cook put out this year

I think my liking Patton Oswalt explains why I don't find this man too humorous.

4. Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

It's a really well written album...a lot of the songs sound the same though. They've been more creative in the past...although perhaps not with as good of song writing.

5. Saul Williams - The Inevitable Rise And Liberattion Of Niggy Tardust

I love Saul Williams, but this album isn't working for me. Maybe it's because he is reading poetry from The Dead Emcee Scrolls instead of rapping...or perhaps it's because Trent Reznor has no place producing hip-hop either way it didn't do a thing for me.

Best Experiences of 2007:

1. Interviewing and meeting Ian Mackaye

1b. Seeing The Evens (Ian Mackaye's band)

2. Seeing Henry Rollins do a spoken word show

Hopes For 2008:

1. Someone reminds Against Me! they used to kick ass and that people will stop comparing them to The Clash...there's no comparison. The Clash did things musically Against Me! can't even think about doing.

2. Fugazi Reunion

3. Bands start making Indie Rock worth listening to again...seriously kids how many slow overly emotional bands that all sound essentially the same do we need.

4. Barrak Obama becomes President of the USA

5. We're out of Iraq by the end of the year.
