Your Fall is a hardcore/metal band from Brazil. But don't get the idea that they're like Sepultura, though that's what it first sounds like at first. While the singer tries to sound like something you haven't heard in a while, ultimately, he is more grounded in the NYHC scene than anything else. The songs are so short on this twenty-minute EP, they almost zoom by without you even realizing it.

This is a promising start for Your Fall but they need to gain some more experience. "One More Chance" is one song that stands out because of its speed and its combining of eighties hardcore and 21st century metal, which is nice to see. "Survive" and "Nightmare" sound a little same-ish and it's difficult to tell which song is which because of the sound. Guitarists Claudio and Jefferson are very interesting in the fact that they can play off each other and not sound like total sludge when they come together. Drummer Thiago is a competent drummer who would fit right in with a band like Cro-Mags or Agnostic Front.

"Die Trying" sounds like an attempt to bring a little bit of hip-hop into the mix, but it doesn't really work all that well; it just comes down to how many times they can use ‘fuck' in 1:27. "Passion" is a lot better because they bring a bit of melody into the music, which helps separate it from the rest of the record. The solo makes it seem like they've been listening to Slash a little bit more than they should, but other than that, it reminds me of Bold, which is a good thing.

Overall, the record is decent, but singer Beto needs to look into doing something than grunts and open up some, if he could. That would make the music stand out more. For example on "Alone," he starts actually singing, which is excellent and it comes out sounding like a combination of Bold and, let's say Cro-Mags, which is something good to shoot for. Good artwork help make this a decent package for hardcore aficionados.
