The whacked out Selby Tigers are back to make your brain spin with their latest release "The Curse Of The Selby Tigers." It's the follow up to the band's successful "Charm City" album also on Hopeless. I first saw the Selby Tigers with Rocket From The Crypt last year, and even though I wasn't a fan of their actual music, the uniqueness they bring along is one of a kind. If you're wondering how "The Curse" compares to their other releases, it's more of a raw/rough sound Tigers that one can expect from their live show. The ability to bring the energy the Selby Tigers have on stage, and find a way to incorporate it into their latest release which has added to it's intensity and charisma. "The Curse" has the feeling of a garage recorded punk rock record mixed in a punch bowl with spastic juice. I'm sure the production assistance of John Reis of Rocket From The Crypt added to the fire and fury known as "The Curse of The Selby Tigers". Those of you into schizophrenic punk rock albums that are filled with confusion and variety need to check this thirteen track whack job out
