Every now and then a band comes along with an album that really surprises you. A Wilhelm Scream did just that with "Mute Print." The guys of A Wilhelm Scream got a little help from the famous Bill Stevenson of Black Flag/Descendents in producing this album. Before I get into detail, I'd say if you're a fan of Thrice or Hot Water Music, this one is for you. The album starts out with just vocals, the kind of vocals you could listen to without anything else because they just suck you in and grab your attention. The lyrics are cut throat and to the teeth. Each line is like a different hook that brings you into the next. Some favorite songs on this one include "Famous Friends and Fashion Drunks," and "Brand New Me, Same Shitty You." Kudos to A Wilhelm Scream for making a great impression on me and coming out with a stellar debut on Nitro Records.
